One walk changed everything.

I got home from work, traded my khakis for Nikes, grabbed the leash, and 30 seconds later my dog Bo and I were headed to the park for a run.

About halfway down the trail, the run came to a sudden stop. Without warning, Bo assumed the position, right in the middle of the running path.

That's when it hit me. In my rush out the door, I had forgotten a poop bag.

Trying to stop the inevitable, I yelled "No Bo! NOBO!" but it was already too late.

I looked over my shoulder and saw a couple walkers heading straight toward us. With no bag and no good options, I grabbed a flimsy twig and tried to flick the mess off the trail before they got there.

It was awkward. It was embarrassing. And it was definitely not my proudest moment as a dog owner.

Because that wasn't the first time I'd forgotten a poop bag. Like most dog owners, I forget them all the time.

But I never forget the leash.

And if I do forget the leash, I don't make it very far. So I started asking a simple question.

Sure, there are little accessories that clip onto leashes, but they always felt like an afterthought. Bulky. Swinging around. In the way.

I wanted something better. A leash designed from the ground up with the bags built right into it.
